Visiting Sandra, and Art by the River

With another trip down "south", I (Beth) was finally able to catch up with my longtime friend Sandra Lee...Mom and Dad and I were also able to check out "Art by the River" in Amherstburg--an event that the Brewins are highly involved in organizing and running!

Family reunion in Leamington

Aunt Dorothy and Aunt Grace visit Mal and Nadine

Mal in the pool with Grandma and Grandpa

Luckily due to my work/vacation schedule, I was able to make it to our annual Atkinson family reunion: this was a year of babies, with cousin Lori's daughter Maddie playing with Malcolm, and Nadine getting passed around amongst adoring Great Aunts and cousins.

Muskoka!!

A great weekend at Karen's cottage in Bala, Muskoka...beautiful weather, beautiful location...

Visiting the Brewins in Amherstburg

After drive "down south" to Amherstburg, we were hit with a beautiful hot, humid heatwave, that meant spending lots of time in the pool and on the water with Mom and Dad Brewin (and "Shivers" and "Einstein" too). Their gardens are ridiculously lush after a hot summer, and we got to enjoy lots of the yummy local produce that Southern Ontario has to offer.

A few sunsets at Navy Yard Park, downtown A-burg.

Out on the water near Kingsville.

Ontario Visit: Monetville with Adam and Val

Although we were only there for a little over 24hrs, we had such a great visit with Adam and Valerie Dukelow: old friends from Guelph and Amherstburg days. Val's family has property up near the French River area, where the lakes are beautifully rocky and deep, but nice and warm. We all got to test out our wakeboarding skills: I finally got to try a "girl" sized board, which was so nice, and we all had fun getting as many "runs" in as possible on such a gorgeous, sunny day. Thanks again for the hospitality and the visit--it was well worth the drive!

August Long Weekend in Bobcaygeon

We spent the long weekend in Bobcaygeon at Mom and Dad's house, visiting with the family, and meeting our new niece Nadine (otherwise known as "teeny weeny Nadiney"). It was a great weekend weather-wise, and we had lots of time to visit, and play with the babies--Malcolm also got to enjoy some bonding time with Aunt Bethany and Uncle Dave. Thanks everyone for taking time out of your busy lives to relax at the cottage with us!
