Anniversary in Kananaskis

Kananaskis Anniversary

We decided to spend our "Anniversary Weekend" in Kananaskis, and were blessed with beautiful fall weather and gorgeous colours!

Victoria visit

We took the ferry across to Victoria to spend the night at the "Hotel Grand Pacific", and then had a wonderful (but busy!) day, visiting with Dave's Grandmother, who lives in the Esquimalt area. The sun actually started to shine partway through the day, so we were able to take in the beautiful views of the Harbour (as well as a visit to the BC museum, the Empress Hotel, and the Harbour Market).

Vancouver visit

We had a great visit with Skye and Chris, and their little guy Otis (8mths) in Vancouver. We packed in a full day at the Vancouver Aquarium, Granville Island and then had a "surprise" birthday party for Chris at the Curling club. It was great to see such great friends--wishing we lived closer (but happy we can still see each other often!).

Amherstburg visit

We always love to come home to Amherstburg, and jokingly call Dave's parents place "Chateau Brewin": where we are spoiled with great food and relaxing by the pool and in the sailboat. The town of Amherstburg is so beautiful, especially this time of year. Thanks again for a wonderful visit!!

A visit with Grandpa and the Darbys

We spent a wonderful day in Richmond visiting my Grandpa (who is turning 99 in September!!) and our relatives Aunt Joan, Uncle Fred, Gillian and Warren Darby. It was a lovely day spent on the patio catching up and visiting---we are so grateful that family is able to make visiting a priority, despite everyone's busy schedules...Thanks for the great visit!
